Bling Hustle: SOAP
Bling Hustle: Ships On A Plane is a new version of Bling Hustle intended to provide the core gameplay experience of Bling Hustle with simple and easy interstellar travel. No strange mucking about with the 3rd dimension or finding Waldo. Leave the current system just by flying away, return by simply turning around and flying back. Newtonian physics still apply, so remember you need as much thrust to stop as you did to accelerate.
A secondary objective of this project is to make a version of Bling Hustle with a cleaner codebase that is easier for a modder to reconfigure into a whole new game. While the core game engine is the same, there are fewer special cases to handle in the main loop. Continued development of SOAP will further simplify and abstract away the remaining cruft, with some developments from SOAP being applied to OG Bling Hustle and visa versa.
Bling Hustle: SOAP is very much a work in progress with rough edges and no questline or tutorial.
The control scheme and almost all intrasolar gameplay is the same as Bling Hustle.
Right click for a thruster pulse, left click to shoot.
Lots of keyboard actions, which also have clickable shortcuts as part of the HUD.
These are the exceptions:
V toggles the aforementioned shortcuts
F enables fullscreen, recommended to avoid accidental browser action from the edge of the screen.
O opens the options menu.
Delete activates cheats, Insert gives all weapons (no upgrades), End gives 10,000 bling
